THe female Icons of Fashion Present and Past
What is it about people especially women that dresses to please a certain eye become Iconic. When women are easy on the eyes, its a good thing for their careers, and social standing but when they wear a garment well or makes exceptional choices in looks they are elevated to the fashion elite. To stand out in a sea of beauties, one must separate and do something that's daring. For example when Elizabeth Hurley on the arm on then boyfriend Hugh Grant at a movie premiere wore a sleek Versace gown held together with safety pins on the sides came out of obscurity because of her fashion choice. Women who are nominated for their talents on screen, stage, or music walk the red carpet in gowns ranging from Oscar de la Renta,Chanel, Armani Prive, Versace,Givenchy and other great fashion houses of the world, are winners even though they didn't take home a statuette because they were dazzling, filled with glamour and style, and were bells of the ball for the evening. Its a great selling point for the fashion brands and helps the lovely ladies become the face for the lipstick campaign or a fashion line and that creates an ore of heightened celebrity that takes them to an Iconic level. I know I can appreciate a woman who dresses well, so I suppose they are loved and revered all over the world for giving us a flash of beauty in a world that can be so bleak. We love the creative forces behind them the hair and make up stylists and fashion stylists that gives us their souls when they put forth these tremendously innovative looks. We all love the past movers, and shakers in fashion and I look forward to the future fashion starlets.
